Helmet -- Size Matters

Anyone check out this album yet? Helmet has long been a favorite of mine and it's nice to see they got back together and are enjoying themselves. My two favorite albums from them in the past was Strap It On and Betty. I guess John Tempesta is on the drums and Chris Traynor from Orange 9mm is playing guitar for them as well. Blasko on bass was also in Rob Zombie's band with John Tempesta. The album is one that takes multiple listenings to fully enjoy. All I can say is get some quality headphones, and lock yourself in your room with the lights out. Only then can you appreciate this album as I do. Heres a link to Helmet's website, check 'em out!

Metal!

Well, my metal band has almost started. We have about 6 or 7 songs to arrange and write more parts for, but it looks like everyone is bringing something to the table. The room we will be practicing in kind of sucks, but it's ok, I'll just crank it and everything will be alright. Now, I don't know when we will be ready for our first show since I live 2 hours away from the rest of the band so we can only assemble on the weekends. I think the guitar riffs will most likely be classic metal based, but the vocals will probably be something along the lines of Mushroomhead meets Six Feet Under. There will be other influences as well, but no matter what, it'll be heavy. For now though, have some porn. heh.

Thanks to the gentleman who led me towards Foobar2000 in replace of Winamp. This program is perfect because there really isn't much flash to it. Skins are nice, but not everything.

The Visualizations you can download along with the skins and DSP are just simply amazing. The internet television kind of sucks, but the internet radio kicks ass! For some reason I can't connect to some of them, but most of the ones that I DO want to listen to, I have no problem. So check it out goddamn it!

Seems like a new site, kinda copying DeviantArt, but still a decent site all the same. Less people has reflected more comments and attention for me. Also you can search without having to pay for it! I could see DeviantArt seeing some competition in the future.

Is There A Heaven?

So here I am, standing at the brink of oblivion. One thought passes through my head. I think, "Where will I go when I die?" After I almost got hit by that loader earlier today it makes me think. I believe my body will rot and decay and that my energy(soul?) goes with the worms. No heaven, no hell, just the sweet bliss of nothingness, no afterlife. I'm willing to argue my theory with whomever is willing. Christians who are only going to try and convert me can go the fuck away.

I am SO sore today after a night of jogging. I streched before and after, yet I'm STILL sore. I don't understand it. I ran Cross Country in high school, weighed 125 lbs for the past 5 years since high school, and now when I try to go running again, I get sore. Oh well, I guess that the price I have to pay to try to get back into shape.

So I've downloaded WindowsBlinds and about 20 new skins. I was sick of staring at the default one and decided I was going to do something about it. Some of them make my firefox bounce, anyone have this problem? It's really starting to annoy me because I like this particular skin.

Anywho, still nothing major going on to write about. I'm gaining perspective on my relationship with my girlfriend, and WOW. I didn't know love could be this great! Sure we've had our fights, but we are able to work past our arguments and come to conclusions. And it's not just me making sacrifices to save the relationship. Before I used to LOVE having road rage, well after a few arguments I had to let it go. I haven't been angry while driving for a couple months now and life is less stressful! Now if only I could release the stress I get from school. My girlfriend has given up many things to be with me and I love her for it. I'll never forget. I'll drone on about love here after all my classes are done for the day, since I didn't post anything yesterday!

Waiting For My Clothes To Dry

I hate dorm laundries. Nobody ever uses a clock to know when their clothes will be done. I waited 10 minutes for a guy to return to take his clothes out of the dryer so I could put mine in. So I took his clothes out and put them on the counter next to the dryer, and proceeded to dry MY clothes. They will be done at 9:00 and I will be there to take them out. After that I have to get going on my mock interview preparations. *sigh* Will this day ever end? I'm gonna take a shot of tequila I think. Fucking people.........

Finding Neverland Post 2

What a great story! It's about the life of the guy who wrote Peter Pan and the people that inspired it. Every single sequence of acting in this movie was superb! The clothing was excellent and the general feeling of the times. Recommended!!!

I have to go clean my house now. After the movie, my girlfriend and me drank a bottle of wine and I don't know how many glasses of Kahlua with milk. Needless to say, the night went very well. So, to my house I go and back to school after that so don't be suprised if I leave another post later tonight.

Finding Neverland

I'm going to take my girlfriend to see Finding Neverland tonight and I'm not so sure about it. Johnny Depp is a great actor, but the movie doesn't seem very adventurous. It looks like more of a drama. I don't know, I guess I'll just have to wait and see! I think we'll be getting drunk afterward as well, and you know what THAT leads too!

So tomorrow I must leave town again for another two weeks. I'll be posting from college again. My mock interview is Monday, so I don't expect anything exciting to happen tomorrow. I'll try to find some quality links for y'all. See you then!

Intimacy, love, And Other Strange Things

I love my girlfriend, and I'm not going to get into specifics, but I've had the greatest night of my life! My girlfriend and I are the closest we have ever been and everything is great!

So tomorrow I have to jam with a buddy of mine, although I have a feeling he will cancel because he does all the time. Granted he works, and comes home tired, but still, he shouldn't make plans night after night and not follow through with a single one! He should have SOME sort of respect for me. I told him that I won't join his band because he is not responsible enough to start it in the first place. I can't take control because I live two hours away! I'll jam with him, I just won't join up.

Monday I have a job interview in Oral Communication. Can't wait (laughable.) There are two possible roles I could have been. An applicant or interviewer. What do I draw out of the hat? Applicant of course! It would have been much easier be the interviewer because the interviewer generally has control over the whole interview. Much easier to prepare for. The applicant on the other hand doesn't know what kind of loaded questions he/she will face. Just got to make the best of it I guess!

Mid-term tomorrow

So since I've been pissing around all day, trying to get this here blog just how I want it, I must keep this short as I should be studying for my speech mid-term. Blech. I just rented "Ray" and I can't even watch it yet. I'll be posting tomorrow's post from my sister's house this weekend because I'm watching her dogs as my parents take my sis to "Mall of America". Her husband is currently in Iraq, so it's a nice thing for my parents to do to keep her mind off of him being gone and all. Please comment if you know someone in Iraq (or anywhere else thats of importance military-wise.) So thats about it for tonight. Not too bad. See y'all tomorrow!
